DAY ONE

We depart from Urbino at a convenient meeting spot and head east to one of Bergamot Wine’s favorite producers (but, let’s face it, every winery on this trip is one of Bergamot Wine’s favorites) for a tasting of a diverse range of wines and a special lunch. Next, we’ll head to the jolliest Lacrima di Morro d’Alba producer in Le Marche. We’ll walk the vineyards and and taste through his wines. Onward we go to our hotel for the next two nights, a lovely country estate surrounded by green hills. Dinner will be at the estate.

Day Two

We dedicate today to Verdicchio coming from Matelica. We’ll take you to two producers we hope you’ll love as much as we do, and explore the beautiful countryside. There are also two fabulous meals awaiting for you!

Day Three

To not make the Verdicchios of Jesi jealous, it is only fair that we spend the day in the Jesi appellation. We’ll have two opportunities to sample wines, along with lunch in a charming town. This evening, we move to Porto Novo to settle into our new abode with sweeping views of the Adriatic. Dinner will be at the hotel (al fresco weather-permitting).

Day Four

Sleep in and do whatever you feel like today. Hang by the pool or take the hotel’s shuttle to the beach to enjoy a little sea and sun. Lunch is on your own. We’ll meet in the late afternoon for an aperitivo and boat ride to check out Le Marche’s coast from a different angle. Dinner will be at a winery in Porto Novo.

Day Five

Today we pack up and head down the coast, stopping for a Michelin-star seafood feast before settling into our new digs in a 17th-Century palazzo in the heart of Ascoli Piceno. We’ll have a guided tour of the city center and then some free time before dining at one of the most locally-loved restaurants in town.

Day Six

We’re back in red wine territory today, exploring Rosso Piceno wines at one or two wineries. We’ll also visit the lovely town of Offida before heading back to Ascoli Piceno for dinner.

Day Seven

There will be some time to do any final packing before driving up the coast to Ancona, an important coastal city for the region. Here, we will enjoy a farewell light lunch and final toast to our adventure in Le Marche. (Cheers!) Afterward, we’ll drop everyone off at the train station to continue on your way.
